Why the NSPCC? Mary was a teacher by qualification and by inclination. She loved children, both her own, of course, and nearly everyone else's too. As a teacher and a mother, she understood the importance of nurture, and felt it strongly wherever it was missing. She knew children are our future, and was a lifelong supporter of the NSPCC.
